Commencing with an overview of the competing fighter monoplane projects of 1936, the book follows the successful Avia aircraft through its prototype development, as the fixed undercarriage B-35.1 and B-35.2, to the ultimate B-135 production model. World events would see to it that this lovely aircraft would not serve the Air Force for whom it was created, however In 1939 considerable interest in the type was shown by the Bulgarians, who pursued this interest through to the purchase of twelve machines; this, despite the full annexation of Czechoslovakia by the Germans and the outbreak of WW2.
